The holiday season is a time for joy, celebration, and family togetherness. But for many families, it can also be a time of stress, anxiety, and difficult decisions. Did you know that nearly 37% of families must choose between celebrating the holidays and feeding their household? This alarming statistic highlights the need for support during this festive time.
Our Impact
We believe everyone deserves to enjoy the holiday season without financial stress. Our goal is to help reduce the stress on families during the holidays by providing support and resources to those who most need it. We believe that no one should have to sacrifice celebrating the holidays with their loved ones because they can't afford it.
Logistics
Families pick up dinner boxes and retrieve a gift from the tree per child. Toys will be separated by gender and age group. The dinner boxes include non-perishable food items and vouchers for turkeys. The guests are encouraged to participate in games and arts & crafts.
Event Objectives
BE Impactful’ s goal is to provide at least 150 families with dinner and gifts within the community. The holiday project will alleviate stress for parents by offering toys and dinner and putting smiles on kids’ faces while promoting the holiday spirit. For some, this will be their only toy; for others, not worrying about how they will feed their family on Christmas day will be a gift. We would like for them to leave with the understanding that “There are people that still care.”
